This should help you to prepare for your upcoming scheduled cleaning, assuming you have one of course. Following these preparation tips will help to ensure that our carpet cleaning professionals will be able to clean as much of each area as possible with the best results.

Remove any excessive items off the floor, such as children’s toys, drapes, clothes, or boxes.
Please vacuum your traffic areas before we arrive.
Please pin up any skirts on upholstered furniture or beds which may be touching floor.
We respect your privacy, we do not open shut doors, if you would like your closets cleaned please open up those doors, as well as any others.
Any small pieces of furniture such as dining room chairs, magazine racks, etc. that you can remove from the carpet to be cleaned will shorten processing time and return the carpet to normal use sooner.
Please advise your cleaning specialist about any special requirements to follow on moving furniture, weak legs, loose tops, etc.
For your pets peace of mind (and ours!) please put them in a safe place where our cleaning won’t disturb them.

The only way our carpet professionals clean, is using the hot water extraction process. This process is by far the preferred method by professional cleaners, as well as manufacturers. Believe it or not, the history that precedes our Carpet Cleaning Orlando profession is extensive! Various methods of cleaning and protecting in home carpet date all the way back to the early 1800’s. Before the industrial revolution, many wealthy families would take precautionary steps to protect the carpet in their homes. Whether the homeowners would be leaving town for a while or having guests over, there would be some simple things that would be done to protect their carpet. Prior to effective cleaning methods, people would simply cover their carpet. People would cover their carpets with thick, heavy woolen goods that spread underneath tables and other exposed areas, called Druggets. These Druggets would help to prevent spills from staining the carpet. The more wealthy populous would use canvas sheets that they had custom made to protect their in home carpet. One of the more prominent problems that carpets would face back then was excessive buildup of dust, dirt and soot. Ventilation in homes used to be very poor, which would create these excessive buildup issues. Homeowners place great value on their homes, as well as the contents inside. This is why they would take certain steps to try and protect their carpets from any damage that could occur.

It wasn’t until the 1830’s that the first known methods of removing stains came about. Now, without the common vacuum, homeowners would have to sweep their carpets. Our certified technicians can provide sofa cleaning as well as our carpet, tile and rug cleaning service. Once the pre spray has had a chance to work itself into the fibers and loosen up the dirt and grime we then take our upholstery cleaning tools and get to work. We spray the upholstery with a high temperature water that is at a lower psi than we use while cleaning carpet. That helps to prevent soaking the padding underneath the material. Once the material has been sprayed, we then vacuum all the grime and dirt out with a very high pressure truck mounted vacuum machine.

Also available with our couch cleaning service is upholstery protectant. This is a huge part in maintaining the beautifully new clean look your upholstery will have. We protect the arms back and cushions of the upholstery. So now when you have a spill in-between our cleanings, you will see the spill bead up on the upholstery, giving you time to cleaning this area before it completely saturates the sofa. The protectant is not an end all be all but it does help with several factors. The best is for the longevity of the furniture, secondly it gives adequate time clean up ares that may have gotten saturated by an unwanted liquid.
