Our Carpet Cleaning Methods

Carpet cleaning is for health and ascetic appearance. There are several methods to obtain these results. With that being said, some carpet cleaning methods simply work better than others. Lets talk about those now.

Hot Water Extraction

The hot water extraction method or more commonly known as Steam Cleaning and is the recommended choice for carpet manufacturers such as the Stainmaster Company when trying to maintain carpet warranty. This method is done by a truckmounted carpet cleaning machine that uses temperatures up to 230 degrees, this hot temperature helps destroy bacteria and germs. Next a carpet cleaning solution, known as an emulsifier to break-up or break-down dirt and debris. Next is proper agitation of the carpet with some type of brush or rotary device. The water comes out at PSI levels between 300-600, which is another source of agitation, this PSI level ensures the best results. Second, the technician works the carpet wand, it’s also is just another agitation part of the carpet cleaning extraction process. Lastly the vacuum that produces a powerful CFM created by the machines blower unit, extracts the now soil, water and cleaning solution into the carpet cleaning waste tank to be disposed of.

Dry Cleaning

Dry cleaning process uses an encapsulation method. Also known as VLM, uses very little to no water, then vacuuming up the soil particles.

Spin Bonnet Cleaning

Last, is the bonnet method of carpet cleaning. This method uses no mechanical vacuum extraction or solution agitation at all. For this method, the carpet technician will pre-spray the soiled carpet with a pump sprayer or bottle and buff the carpet with a bonnet. Very similar to waxing or more like buffing a car. The point is to buff the carpet and extract the soil onto the cotton, usually has many different color types for that specific bonnet.
